This Viking was built using Andrea Miniatures beautifully detailed metal kit. I loved this figure because the Viking has a great facial expression of grim determination despite his wound.

The figure was assembled mostly "out of the box" except for the addition of gold arm rings made from strands of fine brass wire braided together.  The Viking and the sea shore base were painted using Model Master enamels.  A dark wash of acrylic paint thinned with Future was applied to enhance detail. The water was given several coats of Future to give it a good glossy "wet" appearance.  Finally the Viking and base were attached to a chunk of driftwood that had been sealed with gloss varnish.
