This is the third Mars kit I've tried - and after the first two my expectations weren't exactly high. This M60 though was quite good. It went together with no trouble. Detail was pretty good on the upper hull and (quite unexpectedly) below the hull. Only negative points were the tracks (which just aren't right) and the decals (which just weren't there - not supplied with any of these kits). And, once again, the boxtop illustration promising a kit with reactive armor bore little resemblance to the basic model inside.
I painted as usual these days with Tamiya acrylics, then used watercolours for streaking, washes and finally drybrushing.
The base is another piece of scrap plastic packaging covered with glue-soaked tissue, real dirt, and real vegetation. Greg Kerry |
