This was a little group I put together some time ago. The Blitz was helped along with some etched metal (Eduard, I believe) though the main effect from this was merely the open tool box on the truck's left side. Wiring was added to the basic engine block, and a few oil drums and jerricans were stuck in the back to look busy.
The DKW motorcycle is one of Tamiya's little jewels: only the wheel spokes really need replacing to make a first class model - mine came from rolled wire rather than etched metal (rather laborious but it saves money).
The Germans at rest figure group is one of Tamiya's oldest and, as such, is somewhat underscale (as many of their early figures were). Yet the four characters can still be made up into an interesting vinette with relatively little work. Greg Kerry |
