The Centauro has to be one of my favorite armored vehicles of all time and I was ecstatic to see that Trumpeter came out with a kit of this wheeled tank destroyer. Construction of the kit was straight forward and there were no real issues with the build.
I used the photo-etch that was supplied with the kit and the stowage came from the spares box. The model was sprayed with Testors enamel #34087 and then the finish was lightened in spots with several derivatives of the olive drab color. Panel lines were then shot with Tamiya Smoke. The model was then weathered with a variety of MIG Pigments.
I used the kit decals to depict a Spanish Army VRC-105 from the "Lusitania Cavalry Regiment." All in all this was a fun build and the kit definitely captures the low-slung sleek lines of tne
Centauro. |
