Dragon's release of the Elephant is an excellent kit. It features a fantastic level of detail, and comes complete with individual track links.

I decided to enhance the detail by adding resin Zimmeritt and etched mud guards.

The kit mud guards lacked the detail on the edges that the full full size machine had, and the etched parts were able to replicate this.

The resin Zimmeritt is paper thin and translucent in places. Minor alteration to the kit is required, but its nothing major.

I added a crew figure, built from parts from my spares bin. The model was painted with Tamiya acrylics.

Weathering was achieved using washes and fading with the base colours lightened and airbrushed over in a cloud pattern.

Pale dusty shades were airbrushed from the ground up to represent a build up of dirt and dust.

Mig pigments were used to finish it all off
